Electrocardiogram (ECG)

Electrocardiogram (ECG)

An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a simple test to check the heart rhythm and electrical activity. An ECG test can be prescribed by any doctor who thinks a patient may have a heart problem. Sensors attached to the arms, legs and chest record the electrical signals that the heart beats each time. These signals are recorded by the machine and examined by a qualified doctor to diagnose any heart problems. The ECG test is completely safe and painless.
